The eagerly awaited new Erzgebirge thriller “Winter Murder” was originally scheduled to air on ZDF this Saturday (25.01.). However, due to the current broadcasts of the Handball World Championship, the broadcast was postponed to Postponed to March 2025 . This gripping crime film focuses on idyllic Oberwiesenthal, and many scenes were filmed directly on the Fichtelberg and in our immediate surroundings.

The plot of “Winter Murder”:

The ski resorts on the Fichtelberg in Oberwiesenthal and on the Keilberg in the Czech Republic are to be connected by a ski circuit. This plan leads to tensions between supporters and opponents of the project. Forest owner Friedrich Lieberwirth, who owns a crucial piece of forest, refuses to sell. Lobbyist Franz Kofler tries to change his mind, but is found dead in his car at the edge of the forest. Investigators Robert Winkler and Karina Szabo take up the investigation and come across a web of intrigue, environmental activists and personal entanglements.
